Australia’s proposed Minerals Resource Rent Tax (MRRT) poses transfer pricing problems for taxpayers with all but the simplest transactions, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the tax.
The proposal, devised by Julia Gillards government, wants to place a tax on profits generated from the exploitation of non-renewable resources in Australia.
