The transfer pricing spotlight has now fallen on IT companies in India, with claims that foreign firms are booking less profit than their domestic rivals.
Foreign IT firms are being accused of manipulating tax treaties and transfer pricing to minimise their tax payments in the country and, since the government is being criticised for its handling of transfer pricing abuses, the issue has attracted a great deal of attention in the Indian press.
