Report calls for greater tax transparency in financial disclosure

A report released this week by the Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation (CBT), commissioned by the OECD Informal Task Force on Tax and Development, has called for new transparency measures in disclosing tax payments and profits for multinational companies.
However, it found limitations to the publication of different types of extra information.
Examining possible new forms of disclosure to increase transparency, the report noted that the minimum would be revealing the corporation tax payments made in each country provided in the local currency.
