Comptroller and auditor general to review transfer pricing cases

While addressing a seminar organised by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, on May 12 2011, R N Dash, the director general of international tax, said transfer pricing cases shall now be subject to audit by the comptroller and auditor general (AG) of India.
The income tax assessment orders passed by the assessing officers (AOs) are subjected to annual examination by the comptroller and AG to ensure that no loss of revenue has occurred because of any incorrect decisions that may have been taken by the AOs.
