Japan records fewer transfer pricing cases and more revenue

The National Tax Agency (NTA) of Japan has released statistics for tax audits, year ending June 30 2010 (FY 2009).

The results show the number of individual transfer pricing taxation cases decreased by 25%, from 134 to 100 cases, and the total amount of taxable income increased almost 240%, from ¥28.6 billion ($345 million) in FY 2008 to ¥68.7 billion in FY 2009.
