Christian Aid scored headlines around the world with its claim that “illegal, trade-related tax evasion alone” [including transfer pricing abuse] is responsible for the deaths of 1,000 young children every day. Richard Teather, senior lecturer in taxation in the Bournemouth University Business School has now cast doubts over the research upon which this claim was based.
