New Japanese rules take effect

New transfer pricing rules included in the tax reform package announced by the Japanese Ministry of Finance in December finally came into effect on April 1.
The transfer pricing reforms focus mainly on the documentation that the tax authorities may request to verify the arms-length nature of intercompany prices.
