Indian minister highlights “special role” of transfer pricing

India’s finance minister has told a conference of tax officials and taxpayers that transfer pricing must play a “special role” if India is to establish itself as a leading global economy.
Pranab Mukherjee made this announcement on the opening day of a seminar on transfer pricing. The event has been jointly organised by the country’s Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and the OECD.
