Taxpayers vote for APAs in India

With India’s budget only three weeks away, tax professionals have come out in support of advance pricing agreements as a means of dealing with transfer pricing disputes.
A notable 63% of tax professionals would welcome the introduction of advance pricing agreements (APA) to the Indian tax code.
The result came in a poll of over 250 tax professionals as part of International Tax Reviews web seminar on transfer pricing in India. A majority of the participants also confirmed a widely-held view that transfer pricing was their biggest tax risk in the country
