Indian authorities tell officers to apply transfer pricing rules in bank-branch dealings

The banks' compliance burden is set to increase after an order from CBDT

A recent instruction from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in India has directed assessing officers to apply transfer pricing provisions to transactions between a bank’s head office and its Indian branch.
