South Africa warns of action over transfer pricing abuse

The South African Revenue Service has said it will crack down on transfer pricing abuse amid concerns that multinationals are using the method to boost balance sheets.
Speaking at a South African Institute of Chartered Accountants conference, SARS commissioner Pravin Gordhan said the problem was harming the countrys tax base and that the revenue intends to look more closely at the matter.
