Transfer pricing and related tax consequences and opportunities arise when multinational enterprises (MNEs) enter emerging markets, especially in Eastern Europe, India, and China. In particular, issues come up when MNEs move into these countries to source their products more cheaply or to capitalise from new sales opportunities.
